Arsenal News: £22m DEAL for Barca star, £18m move for Firmino, Rosicky's message

EXPRESS SPORT brings you the latest news coming out of the Emirates.

QPR v Arsenal - Premier League Preview

Arsenal are lining up Roberto Firmino as a replacement for Santi Cazorla, according to the Metro.

Cazorla has been linked with a return to Spain despite putting in some sterling displays for Arsenal in recent weeks as a combative midfielder.

And reports suggest Firmino, the Hoffenheim star, has an £18m buyout clause.

Arsenal are also lining up Morgan Schneiderlin, according to the Mirror.

The Southampton star was expected to leave St Mary's last summer but stayed and has helped the south coast club fight for European spots this season.

Saints have slipped up in recent weeks and dropped down the table, and Arsenal are hoping the French midfielder will look to move on.

Arsene Wenger's side are still recovering from Monaco defeat

Barcelona have told the Gunners they will need to pay £22m to sign Pedro this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The winger, who is out of contract in 2016, has put English clubs on alert as he struggled to break into Luis Enrique's side.

Pedro won the World Cup with Spain in 2010, and the Champions League twice with the Catalan club in 2009 and 2011, but after the signing of Luis Suarez in the summer has struggled for games.

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky admits the win over Everton yesterday was tough after their defeat to Monaco and they are yet to get over the shock completely.

"You could see that the lads were affected by it and the technical level of our game was not there," Rosicky told Arsenal Player.

"It was difficult as we were affected by the loss to Monaco but you go through disappointments throughout the season, you just have to fight through it.

"I’m glad we have these three points, it’s very important for the confidence of the whole team.

"It was a difficult game. We weren’t at our best after the disappointing night against Monaco, so it was very important to win and get the three points which we managed in the end."
