Saido Berahino (foot) and Brown Ideye (knee) are set to have fitness tests before the game.

But Victor Anichebe is virtually out already with a groin strain.

Pulis refuses to take his foot off the gas despite a run of form which has put Baggies in sight of Premier League safety.

Aston Villa meanwhile, are struggling to get out of the bottom three under new boss Tim Sherwood.

But Pulis could be short of firepower at Villa Park.

He said: “We’re not sure about Brown or Saido. That’ll be a late call on Tuesday before we make a decision on those two.

“But I don’t think Victor will be fit for this game. There’re one or two problems. The fact is that we want them fit.

“They’ve been very good for us over the past month or so and we want to keep it together.

“The team have been successful together and they’ve been a big part of it.”

Pulis admitted he is rising early in a bid to keep Albion in the Premier League.

He joked: “I wouldn’t ask you come and sleep in my bed - but I’m worried enough to be up at 5.30 every morning.

“Then I’m straight into training and trying to sort things out. You can’t take your eye off the ball.”

Pulis was speaking to Stephane Sessegnon on Monday after he was booked for diving on Saturday against Southampton.

The Baggies boss does  not support his players trying to kid the referee.

Pulis said: “As soon as I speak to him, then I’ll talk about it more. But it’s not a delicate situation as far as I’m concerned.

“My stance is that it shouldn’t be in the game.”
