The England Under-21 striker has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield.

He is expected to sign for the Reds when his contract expires at the end of the season but Dyche reckons that will not affect his performance when the sides meet.

The Clarets chief said: “His determination has been there for all to see.

“He’s had one quiet one and other than that he’s been fantastic.

“I’m sure his determination will be to do his best for Burnley, no matter who it’s against.

“He’ll do that and the rest will take care of itself.”

Brendan Rodgers’ team are pushing for the top four while Burnley are trying to claw their way out of the bottom three.

Burnley took points from trips to Manchester City and Chelsea and Dyche reckons that mentality gives them hope ahead of facing Liverpool.

He said: “The weight of expectation is on who we’re playing aginst because it’s Liverpool.

“All the world is thinking they’ll win but it’s not that easy. We know what a good side they are.

“They’ve spent a lot of money on players and it’s taken a while to come together but since Christmas, you can see that’s started to happen.”
