JOSE Mourinho stoked the flames ahead of today’s Capital Cup final with a cheeky dig at Spurs: “You’ll never get me.”

The Chelsea boss revealed that if and when he leaves Stamford Bridge, there is no way he’ll head across London for White Hart Lane.

“I love Chelsea supporters too much,” he explained.

Mourinho dropped his bombshell after recalling how Spurs offered him their manager’s job after he left Chelsea eight years ago.

But a severance agreement he had with Roman Abramovich, barring him from working in England again for two years, would have blocked such a move even if he had wanted to move across the capital.

Spurs tried again to lure him with a compensation offer to Chelsea that was turned down. But Mourinho revealed that his love of Chelsea fans would always stop him managing Spurs, no matter how much they offered him.

The Special One admitted that if Chelsea decided to get rid of him a second time, he would want to stay in England – but not with Spurs.

He said: “When I left the first time, I had lots of countries to go to and lots of clubs to go to. In this moment when I leave, the options are not so much.

“But I am in Mr Abramovich’s hands. Until he wants me to go I will stay.”

Mourinho insisted that his love affair with English football would last a lifetime, despite his disappointment at recent events and being without Nemanja Matic this afternoon after his midfielder was sent off against Burnley last week.

He added: “If one day Mr Abramovich tells me ‘Jose it’s enough’ I will go to my house in London and wait for another English club – but not Tottenham.

“I am not thinking about leaving, I want to stay at Chelsea for the rest of my career.”
