Ronny Deila is furious about Celtic's kick off time

Sky will show Celtic’s top-of-the-table clash with Aberdeen live tomorrow with a midday kick-off.

But Deila, left, claims the broadcasters are playing down this eagerly anticipated title clash by not giving it a prime time Sunday slot.

The match will be shown on Sky Sports 3 ahead of the English Championship meeting between Norwich and Ipswich, which kicks off at 2.05pm.

And Deila believes the fact Sky are showing the East Anglia derby in a later slot is disrespectful to Scotland’s leading clubs.

He said: “I understand it is the media controlling it.

“Because they want to have it on Sky Sports, we have to play before everyone else in England because that is the most important thing.

“But when does it stop? Are we going to play at 10 o’clock soon? We have to think of the fans, as well.

“At three o’clock more people come and it would be a bigger game. This is a big game in Scotland and it should be the prime time slot on television.

“Do Celtic and Aberdeen deserve more respect? I think so. I don’t think there will be 50,000 at that game down there.

“It’s a huge game, the support is unbelievable and the interest is very good. I think 12 o’clock isn’t good.”

Celtic will move six points clear of the Dons with a win, but Deila knows it will be tough as the league crown is all Aberdeen have to play for.

Deila said: “It’s a cup final for Aberdeen. But we want to win.

“They don’t have anything else to play for and they strengthened their team in January as well, so of course they want to win the league.”

Meanwhile, Deila hopes Leigh Griffiths will be fit for tomorrow’s clash after the striker sat out the Europa League defeat to Inter Milan on Thursday with an ankle injury.

He said: “Leigh was walking today. He said he is a possibility for Sunday but, for sure, Wednesday against St Johnstone.

“He was stamped on in training, so the ankle was very swollen.”
