INTER have confirmed the signing of former Parma defender Felipe dal Belo, increasing the likelihood of Nemanja Vidic leaving the club this summer.

Nemanja Vidic could leave Inter this summer

Felipe, 30, left crisis-hit Parma last month and has been training with Inter for a few weeks.

He has signed an initial contract until June but is expected to extend his stay into next season.

He is seen as direct competition for Vidic and fellow centre-halves Juan, Andrea Ranocchia and Hugo Campagnaro as Inter strive to qualify for Europe.

And former United defender Vidic, who already appeared likely to leave the San Siro club in July, is now certain to depart.

He will not, however, make a triumphant return to Old Trafford as manager Louis van Gaal plots moves for Mats Hummels or Marquinhos this summer.

Instead, a rival Premier League club is likely to snap up the Serbian, with Liverpool reportedly suitors.

Turkish side Besiktas are also interested in the 33-year-old but a move back to England appears the more favorable venture.
