Raheem Sterling is relishing the prospect of playing in Istanbul

The Liverpool winger, who scored in the Reds 2-0 win over Southampton on Sunday, hopes to fire again against Besiktas.

Liverpool lead 1-0 from the first leg after Mario Balotelli's late penalty.

However Brendan Rodgers' side will have to come through the toxic atmosphere in Istanbull.

Sterling, though, is keen to take it in his stride.

"I've always wanted to play in Turkey and see what the fans are like," he said.

Rodgers - despite being inundated with injuries - insists his side can pull through.

He said: "We respect the opponent. We understand it's a difficult game.

"But we've been playing very well away from home."
