Jose Mourinho will be hoping for a win over PSG in the French capital this evening

The Blues take on Laurent Blanc's men in Paris this evening, and are hoping to avoid a repeat of last season's 3-1 defeat at the Parc des Princes.

However, a late goal from Demba Ba at Stamford Bridge sent Chelsea to the semi-finals of the competition, where they were eventually knocked out by Courtois and Atletico Madrid.

The Belgium international has established himself as a key player in his first season at Stamford Bridge, displacing club legend Petr Cech between the sticks, and Courtois believes that the confidence instilled in the squad by Mourinho gives Chelsea a strong chance of victory in what will surely be a closely-fought match.

He told UEFA.com: "Last season Chelsea had two difficult games with them (PSG) in the quarter-finals, so I know it will be a hard game.

Mourinho: Paris is a great team

I think he (Mourinho) is a really strong coach, he has good tactics, he knows how to motivate the team

"They were maybe one of the hardest teams for us to get in the draw. We have a strong team and you have to be able to beat them, but we know it will be a very big game and it will be hard.

"They have a strong squad, they had a little 'weak' moment last month, but you see now they're getting back to their best. It will be a very hard game.

"I think he (Mourinho) is a really strong coach, he has good tactics, he knows how to motivate the team, and when he was at Real Madrid we had difficulties winning against them.

"We did once, in the cup final. And last season we had it difficult here at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. So I know he's a very good coach, and I can see it now with my own eyes now I have him as my trainer."
