CONFIRMED: Marco Reus SHOCKS Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool by signing new Dortmund deal

MARCO REUS has dealt Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal a huge blow by signing a new deal at Borussia Dortmund.

Marco Reus Player Profile

Reus had emerged as one of the top targets for Europe's big clubs with a £20m release clause set to come into effect in the summer.

And with Dortmund struggling domestically this term, it was thought to be a formality that Reus would look to jump ship for the Premier League or Spain.

However, Dortmund always remained optimistic that the German international wanted to stay and revealed they had made an impressive offer to keep the star yesterday.

Hi people, I am pleased to inform you that I have extended my contract until 2019!

And both Reus and the club have now confirmed the news, with the player signing a deal that will keep him at the Signal Iduna Park until 2019.

Reus tweeted: "Hi people, I am pleased to inform you that I have extended my contract until 2019!"

Dortmund are also believed to have removed the clause that would allow the player to leave for a cut-price deal at season's end meaning any side wanting to sign the 25-year-old will now have to at least fork out something more reflective of his market valuation.
