Manchester United handed worrying Kevin Strootman update
MANCHESTER UNITED have been told to back off from making a move for Kevin Strootman.
Kevin Strootman has been closely linked with a move to Manchester United
The Roma midfielder has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford, as Louis van Gaal is a long-term admirer of his.
Strootman, who only recently returned from a long-term knee injury has been tipped to make a surprise join the Red Devils in a £32m deal this month.
But Roma boss Rudi Garcia has stressed that Strootman can still have a major impact for the club in the second half of the season.
"With Kevin, we obviously knew he had such a bad injury that it would take him time to get back to 100%," said Garcia.

For Kevin, the break was important, even in a mental sense to get back to training with a freshness
"He'll basically only have half a season, but fortunately we play less games in the first half of the campaign.
"The more he trains, the more he is improving. For Kevin, the break was important, even in a mental sense to get back to training with a freshness.
"Gradually, we'll see whether he is 100%, but he is getting back to it in training."
