Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma set to join Demba Ba at Besiktas in January
CHELSEA are preparing to let Kurt Zouma join Demba Ba at Besiktas in January.
Kurt Zouma could be on his way to Besiktas
Zouma was signed from Saint Etienne a year ago but was loaned back to the Ligue 1 club for the latter part of last season.
And the 20-year-old has struggled to make much of an impression since linking up with the Blues over the summer.
Reports in Turkey now suggest that Jose Mourinho is open to sending Zouma to Istanbul on loan in a bid to get him more playing time.
Besiktas vice-president Ahmet Nur Cebi said: “We are not interested in Serdar Tasci or Michael Ciani but we are trying to transfer a defender.
“We have identified what positions we need to strengthen and are in talks trying to make something happen.

We are working together with Chelsea to sign a player.
“We have four players we are targeting and working hard to bring one or two of them to the club.
“We want to make Besiktas worthwhile transfers.”
The comments come after the Eagles president Fikret Orman said recently: “We are working together with Chelsea to sign a player."
Ba left Stamford Bridge to join Besiktas in July, but it seems the links with Chelsea could continue for some time yet.
