ARSENAL have notoriously had a problem with injuries, but this season they seem to pale into insignificance compared with Manchester United.
Louis van Gaal has been hit by injury problems this season
United's injury crisis took another turn for the worse last night when Daley Blind hobbled off in Holland's 6-0 win over Latvia.
The £14million summer signing was brought in to screen United's defence, but is expected to be out for up to six weeks with ligament damage.
The Red Devils have started the season in indifferent fashion under Louis van Gaal, and they trail Chelsea by 13 points after 11 games.
United take on Arsenal after the international break on Saturday, but with their injury problems mounting, it remains to be seen who Van Gaal will field for that clash.

Marcos Rojo
Injury: Dislocated Shoulder
The Argentina defender is set to spend up to three months on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder in the 1-0 derby defeat to Manchester City. Having joined the Red Devils from Sporting Lisbon in the summer, Rojo had been a permanent fixture in Van Gaal's side.
Radamel Falcao
Injury: Calf strain
Falcao has had a stop start career at Old Trafford. He has been nursing a calf injury as of late, but could be in line to feature against Arsenal. He has only scored once in the Premier League this term.
Ashley Young
Injury: Groin
Having being utilised as a wing-back in Van Gaal's 3-5-2 formation, Young broke down in training with a groin injury in September and hasn't played since.

Phil Jones
Injury: Hamstring, shin
The England international has been plagued with injuries since joining from Blackburn in 2011. After picking up a hamstring injury while on international duty, he is now out with a shin problem.
Ander Herrera
Injury: Ankle, rib
The midfielder made a promising start to life at Old Trafford, but it was disrupted by an ankle injury in August before he suffered a rib injury against West Ham.
Antonio Valencia
Injury: Leg, hamstring
The Ecuador international has had a stop-start campaign since returning from the World Cup. He picked up a hamstring strain during the win over Everton last month before he returned against Manchester City in the place of the injured Rafael.
Luke Shaw
Injury: Hamstring, knee
After being pulled up over his fitness during United's pre-season tour, Shaw then subsequently suffered hamstring and knee injuries.
Paddy McNair
Injury: Hamstring
The Northern Ireland defender was sidelined for three weeks with a hamstring strain last month and he returned in the derby defeat against City as a substitute.
James Wilson
Injury: Thumb/wrist, ankle
Showed promise during Scored two goals on senior debut against Hull City last May, but missed chance to impress Van Gaal on summer tour due to a problematic thumb injury which prevented him playing contact sport.
Chris Smalling
Injury: Groin, hip/thigh
The England centre-back injured his groin at the end of August, his thigh at the end of September and, having finally returned to fitness, was sent off against Man City. He will now be suspended
Jonny Evans
Injury: Ankle
Yet another defender who has been unable to string a run of games together. Evans has made just three league appearances, the most recent the 5-3 humiliation at Leicester when he hurt his ankle.

The playmaker went almost three years barely missing a game for Chelsea picked up a hip injury in the draw at Burnley in August. The international break has given him enough time to recover.
Marouane Fellaini
Injury: Ankle
Fellaini could have been on his way to Napoli, had it not been for an ankle injury. He only recently returned to action after a six-week lay-off.
Jesse Lingard
Injury: Knee
Having impressed Van Gaal during the pre-season tour, he hasn't played since the opening day of the season.

The Brazilian full-back's current injury is the latest setback for him after coming through the ranks as a teenager.
