Ferguson plays tough on Ronaldo
DEFIANT Sir Alex Ferguson will continue to play hardball with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manchester United manager Ferguson is furious that Ronaldo publicly agreed with FIFA president Sepp Blatter’s controversial comments urging United to allow his dream move to Real Madrid.[>

His anger has been further fuelled by Ronaldo’s refusal to pledge his future to United. [>

He is not due to play again until early October but once he is back Ferguson will make sure he appears in a Champions League game, however briefly, to ensure he is cup-tied in case Real come knocking again in the January transfer window.[>

Meanwhile, United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has agreed a four-year contract as the new head coach of Portugal.[>
