Man Utd in pole position to sign Cristiano Ronaldo as both PSG and Chelsea dismiss claims

"To our knowledge, the PSG has not taken any steps to recruit him. How could he with the constraints of financial fair play?"
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho firmly disregarded any reports that he wanted to sign Ronaldo by telling journalists to 'forget it.'
The absence of two of the world's financial super-powers, and the unlikely scenario of Ronaldo betraying United to join rivals Manchester City, leaves Louis Van Gaal very much in the driving seat.
It's thought an offer in the region of £60m in addition to £300,000 per-week wages would be enough to secure a deal.
