Rafael gives Manchester United timely fitness boost with return to training
MANCHESTER UNITED right-back Rafael is back in full training.
The Brazilian's return will be a huge boost to Louis van Gaal who is still searching for his first win as United boss.
He took to Instagram to confirm he is winning his fitness battle.
The 24-year-old wrote: "5 years a go young skinny rafael good memories. Back in training ready to help. Let's goo (sic)"
Rafael suffered a groin injury during the pre season tour of North America, which was initially only set to rule him out of the final weeks of the campaign build up.
However, he has missed the opening three Premier League fixtures and embarrassing Capital One Cup defeat at MK Dons.
A club spokesman said at the time of the injury: "As he was unlikely to participate in the remaining tour games, returning home affords the best overall option for his recovery in time to continue pre-season preparation when the team returns."
