West Ham 0 - Tottenham 1: Noble penalty miss costs Hammers dear as Dier seals it late
TOTTENHAM debutant Eric Dier scored a late goal to end Spurs run of three consecutive defeats against West Ham this evening.
The goal came in added time after Mark Noble had missed a penalty for the Hammers in the first half in an incident that saw Spurs' Kyle Naughton somewhat harshly sent off.
Naughton was deemed to have handled in the box but West Ham could not take advantaged of their numerical advantage.
The game looked to be heading for a draw until Dier - recently signed from Sporting Lisbon - popped up to seal it late for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

The result was probably a unfair on the hosts, who looked the better side for most of the match.
But Sam Allardyce's men - with Carlton Cole up front - failed to convert their chances into goals.
And when James Collins was sent off for a second bookable offence just after the hour mark the sides were level again.
With time trickling down both sides would have almost certainly settled for a point until Dier sealed all three for the visitors.
