Liverpool Transfer News: Rodgers set to take spending past £70m mark with double swoop
LIVERPOOL boss Brendan Rodgers is set to take his summer spending past the £70m mark with two new signings.
The Reds have already spent approximately £40m on Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can.
But that figure could almost double when the Anfield outfit confirm moves for Benfica's Lazar Markovic and Lille's Divock Origi.
Both players are expected at the Reds' Melwood training ground today to undertake medicals.
Markovic, a 20-year-old Serbian international, is expected to cost almost £20m, while Origi will join in a £10m deal before being loaned back to Ligue 1 next term.

Meanwhile, Luis Suarez continues to edge closer to Barcelona meaning Rodgers could have even more cash to spend.
Indeed, if the rumours are to be believed Rodgers could look to add at least one more striker to his squad, with Antoine Griezmann and Swansea's Wilfried Bony both linked.
Southampton's Dejan Lovren also remains a target, but Rodgers may have to wait to offload either Lucas Leiva - with Inter Milan and Napoli interested - or Iago Aspas - linked with a return to Spain - before being able to meet the Saints £25m asking price.
