Arsene Wenger: I'm surprised with the way Manchester United handled David Moyes' sacking
ARSENE WENGER has questioned the way in which Manchester United handled David Moyes' sacking and has conceded he is 'surprised' about the manner in which a club of their prestige informed him.
Moyes lost his job on Tuesday after just 10 months in charge and news of his dismissal was leaked by an Old Trafford source before he found out.
The League Managers' Association (LMA) have been highly critical of the way United dispensed with Moyes, claiming it was 'unprofessional'.
Wenger concedes he didn't know the exact details of how Moyes' sacking filtered out, but was taken aback by the debacle.
"I don't know the details. It was surprising that he wasn't informed first eye-to-eye like we're used to," he said.

"Apart from that, what I regret the most, was that he has been sacked. He has a lot of experience in the Premier League, he has shown quality and I would liked for him to have been given more more time."
Wenger has also expressed his fear about the life cycle of managers in the Premier League and thinks there is a worrying trend emerging.
"The trend will become quicker and quicker in terms of managers getting sacked. It has become like that more and more in society and there has been more knee jerk reactions."
