Ryan Giggs poised to be named Manchester United interim boss
RYAN GIGGS is set to be named as interim manager of Manchester United in a news conference later today.
David Moyes was sacked by United this morning after holding a meeting with the club's chief executive Ed Woodward.
His doomed reign saw him sacked after just 11 months at the helm at Old Trafford.
Moyes' assistant Steve Round and first-team coach Jimmy Lumsden also left their posts with immediate effect.
And Giggs will be handed the United job on an interim basis.
Bookmakers have made Louis van Gaal the favourite to be installed as the next United boss.
Giggs will hope to help United finish on a high note, and they have four games remaining against Norwich, Sunderland, Hull and Southampton.
