Southampton match MORE important than Liverpool clash, says Man City's Stevan Jovetic
MANCHESTER CITY'S Stevan Jovetic claims his side's match against Southampton on Saturday is the most important of 'eight cup finals' until the end of the season.
The Montenegrin took to Twitter on Friday to urge the Citizens to get a result against the Saints but appeared to play down the significance of a potentially title-deciding clash against Liverpool next weekend.
He said: "8 finals by the end of the season...Tomorrow is the first one and most important ! COME ON CITY !!!"
Jovetic has endured a difficult first season at City after making the move from Fiorentina in the summer.
Despite missing a chunk of the season with injury, Jovetic says he says no regrets about moving to Manchester.

Earlier this year he said: "I do not regret my choice.
"Of course these last four, five months were difficult because I did not play, picked up some injuries, but it's all in the past now.
"I never doubted my abilities in the difficult times. I knew I could play on this team but I have to prove it."
And it now seems Jovetic's faith may be rewarded with a Premier League title, but only if they overcome Liverpool next weekend.
Or, as Jovetic sees it, Southampton on Saturday.
