David Marshall plays down rumours of replacing Tottenham's Hugo Lloris
CARDIFF CITY stopper David Marshall has played down reports linking him with a move to Tottenham in the summer.
The Scotland international has been a consistent performer for the Bluebirds this term, despite the club occupying the first spot in the relegation zone.
And the 29-year-old's form has surfaced reports suggesting that he is set to replace Hugo Lloris at Spurs, who is linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in search of Champions League football.
But Marshall, who has seen the stories and heard the rumours, insists he is only focussing on Cardiff's Premier League survival as they sit three points adrift of safety.
"I am desperate right now to try to help keep this club in the Premier League," Marshall said.
At this moment in time my personal career does not really come into it
"At this moment in time my personal career does not really come into it. I am going to be judged over these last games now.
"That’s me, all the other players and the club as a whole.
"I will be concentrating now on keeping Cardiff up. We’ve got a huge game coming up against Crystal Palace.
“The focus is on that and getting the three points. That is the main aim right now."
