John Terry urges Chelsea to kick on after last-gasp winner against Everton
CHELSEA'S last minute goal against Everton claimed all three points for the Premier League leaders and goalscorer John Terry has called for the Blues to use the victory as a catalyst for a run of form.
The win at Stamford Bridge came before their trip to Galatasaray on Wednesday for their Champions League last-16 first-leg tie, with their next league match against rockbottom Fulham.
Boss Jose Mourinho insists Chelsea aren't title contenders, but the Londoners currently top the table and Terry is eager for his side to push on for the rest of the season.
The Chelsea captain said: "It's important for us now to kick on, especially with a busy period.
"When we play three games in a week I think it suits the lads.
"Everyone looks at it and thinks it might take its toll. But when you're playing three games a week you play, light training, play again and there's not much time to think.
"Hopefully that's the cobwebs gone and we can kick on again.
Chelsea had to wait until stoppage time for Terry to convert Frank Lampard's free-kick against the Toffees, but the former England defender believes the visitors deserved at least a draw from their performance.
"It wasn't our best performance, but we'll certainly take it. Maybe a draw was a fair result.
"They played quite well. You have to give them credit. Since Martinez has come in they've looked a whole new side.
"But we came away with three points. It was important we did that."
