PICTURES: Solskjaer spotted at Emirates as he watches Arsenal game with Cardiff owner Tan
OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER appears to be on the verge of taking over the reins at Cardiff after being spotted with owner Vincent Tan at the Arsenal game.
Solskjaer, who is currently managing Molde in his native Norway, is widely expected to replace Malky Mackay with his appointment likely to be confirmed within the next 24 hours.
The ex-Manchester United striker had been on shortlist which featured former England manager Sven Goran-Eriksson and Dave Jones.
The Bluebirds are hoping to make a swift appointment as they don't want their season to descend into turmoil.
Tan dispensed with Mackay after a row over January transfer window plans, with the eccentric owner refusing to give the Scot a single penny to spend.
Cardiff are in desperate need of a result, as they lie in 16th place, just two points above the drop zone.
David Kerslake and Joe McBride are currently presiding over first-team affairs.
