VIDEO: Spurs form key to World Cup place says Andros Townsend
ENGLAND winger Andros Townsend claims his club form for Tottenham over the rest of the season will dictate whether he is on the plane to Brazil next summer.
Townsend was England's best outfield player against Germany, threatening all-night in the 1-0 defeat.
And while the 22-year-old now looks a shoe-in for Roy Hodgson's World Cup squad, Townsend is taking nothing for granted.
"Ive had a good start to my international career but I think its too soon to be talking about Brazil," he said.

"We've got six or seven months of club form to keep up and hopefully I can secure myself a place on the plane."
Townsend came closest for England at Wembley by hitting the post in the second half, but reserved praise for returning goalkeeper Joe Hart.
"He made a great save from the corner before the one they scored," Townsend added.
"He's been fantastic and hopefully he continues that form."
