Wary Redknapp is playing for time
PORTSMOUTH manager Harry Redknapp may delay picking his starting line-up until the morning of the FA Cup final against Cardiff.
Redknapp is still concerned over the fitness of goalkeeper David James, who has a calf muscle strain, and a hamstring injury to central defender Sol Campbell. Both missed the final Premier League game of the season against Fulham and face a race to be fit for the Wembley showdown on Saturday.[>

Though both say they will be available, Redknapp is taking no risks.[>

He says he also has difficult decisions to make over choosing his team and naming the five substitutes. “We didn’t pick up any fresh knocks against Fulham, but I am still not sure about Sol and Jamo,” said Redknapp.[>
[>
“Sol had a tight hamstring and I didn’t want to chance him because if he had aggravated it he could well have been out for Saturday.[>
[>
“As for Jamo, he has not trained yet and you have to be very careful after a torn calf. We shall have to see how things work out during the week, but if I have to then I will leave it until Saturday morning before finalising the starting line-up.[>
[>
“I definitely have a few decisions to make. There are a few pushing for places, so it will be a difficult.”[>
