Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas: I don't talk with Chelsea's Jose Mourinho anymore
ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS broke his silence yesterday on his mystery feud with Jose Mourinho by claiming the pair fell out because the Chelsea manager refused to take him more seriously.
The revelations are bound to ramp up emotions ahead of tomorrow’s game at Tottenham.
Save for a brief handshake at the Premier League meeting in the summer, the pair have barely spoken since Villas-Boas left Mourinho’s back-room staff at Inter Milan after one year.
It was thought Villas-Boas’s desire to carve his own career had been behind the rift.
But the Spurs boss said: “Our break-up point was because I was full of ambition to give him something extra. I wanted further involvement to the job I was doing, scouting and match preparation.
“He didn’t feel the need for someone to be near to him or in another role as an assistant, and because of that, we both decided it was time.”
