Spurs looking to capitalise on unsettled Barcelona defender Marc Bartra
SPURS are lining up a move for unsettled Barcelona starlet Marc Bartra this summer.
The Spain Under-21 international has struggled for game time at the Camp Nou this season, managing just three La Liga appearances last season.
He has been unhappy playing second fiddle to Javier Mascherano and Alex Song and Spurs are looking to take advantage of his situation according to reports.
Bartra's agent believes his client is much better than Song, saying: "Bartra is 25,000 times better than Song as a central defender."
Barcelona are in the market for a central defender as they seek cover for Carles Puyol.
They have already been rebuffed in their offers of £34.5m and £14.6m respectively for Chelsea's David Luiz and Daniel Agger.
Spurs' Jan Vertonghen is also on their shortlist though they would loathe to lose him after his excellent debut campaign last season.
