Alderweireld has the same contractual situation at Ajax too, and with both players available to talk to potential suitors in January Spurs could secure the duo for as little as £15million according to one national newspaper.
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is a big admirer of Eriksen, 21, and Alderweireld, 24, although Liverpool and Everton could rival the North-London outfit for their services.
Eriksen has been heavily tipped to make a move to the Premier League
Both players are in no rush to make a decision over their futures though, with Eriksen saying: "I am prepared to wait. I will only go where my heart wants to go.
"I am patiently waiting what will happen in the next few weeks. But I have said before I only want to go to a club where I feel I can play at my best and which suits my style.
"I am ready for something new, I am ready for bigger options. But it has to be right."
Alderweireld has already turned down Norwich City this summer

Eriksen and Alderweireld share the same agent, former Denmark midfielder Soren Lerby.
And Lerby has revealed that Everton are keen on the defender, but hinted that he could be holding out for a bigger club - paving the way for Spurs to formalise their interest.
"It is true that Everton came forward for Alderweireld," said Lerby.
"Though there are other concrete directions, Toby must now look at which team he finds the most challenging."
