Manchester United to press ahead with Juventus target Claudio Marchisio
MANCHESTER UNITED appear poised to go full steam ahead with their bid to snaffle Claudio Marchiso.
The Juventus midfielder previously stated if he were to leave Italy, he would go to the Bundesliga as he prefers the culture of football in the Germany to the Premier League.
Although he would command a transfer fee in the region of £21m, Sir Alex Ferguson is already firming up his summer wish list, and Marchisio has been deemed as the calibre of player that could add creativity to United's midfield.
But it seems United aren't ready to throw in the towel in just yet and will launch a bid for him.
Reports in Italy point to the fact that Juventus are willing to raise funds to land a striker in the summer.
They suggest that Marchisio could be forced to make way to ensure this happens.
Marchisio's contract expires in 2016 and is currently pockets £2.5m a season.
