Danny Wilson parts company with Sheffield United
SHEFFIELD UNITED boss Danny Wilson has left the club.
The Blades sit fifth in League One and are just six points off the automatic-promotion places.
But Wilson's side have been on a dreadful run of form where they have one just once in their last six games. They lost 2-0 to Crawley on Tuesday and have not scored at Bramall Lane since February 16.
Assistant-manager Frank Barlow joins Wilson, who was appointed manager in May 2011, through the exit door.
Blades owner Kevin McCabe said: "We must thank Danny and Frank for all their endeavours and hard work over the past two seasons."
We now have a mini season for this club to achieve success and we will all back Chris in this mission
First-team coach Chris Morgan will take temporary charge for the remainder of the season.
McCabe added: ""We now have a mini season for this club to achieve success and we will all back Chris in this mission."
United have They host promotion rivals Swindon on Saturday.
