Jack Hunt rallying cry
JACK HUNT says Huddersfield will not sit on their 2-0 lead when they host MK Dons in the second leg of their play-off semi-final tomorrow night.
Jordan Rhodes’ header set Huddersfield on their way before Hunt chipped in with his first goal in almost eight months.
“The two-goal cushion is nice but we’re not going to sit back on Tuesday night,” he said. “We’re going to take it to them.
“I’m sure the manager will keep everyone’s feet on the ground and make sure we do a good job.”
Dons manager Karl Robinson was staying positive, saying: “That is not us at our best and that’s one of the best performances I’ve seen them play. But I have seen weaknesses that I know we can capitalise on.”
Stevenage boss Gary Smith is preparing for the possibility of penalties tonight in the return leg of their semi-final at Sheffield United.
The sides are locked at 0-0 after Friday’s tense first leg, but Smith dismisses any suggestion Stevenage have blown their chances of a third successive promotion.
It’s finely balanced and we can’t take anything for granted
“We had a frustrating night,” he said. “We’re well and truly in this.”
United manager Danny Wilson is hoping Richard Cresswell, who has a shoulder injury, can return to boost a depleted forward line.
“It’s finely balanced and we can’t take anything for granted,” said Wilson.
