Gus Poyet's poised to give Maurice Tarrico a run for Brighton
BRIGHTON’S assistant boss Mauricio Taricco insisted on joining the rest of the players in pre-season training and has now put himself in line to play in the Championship at the age of 38.
The Argentinian fullback, who is still registered as a player, impressed the newly-promoted south coast club’s manager and former Tottenham team-mate Gus Poyet.
He said: “Mauricio has done pre-season because he wanted to be fit and suffer it like the rest of the players. It has made me think about playing him because he’s still a Premier League player.”
