Liverpool target Ryan Gravenberch 'skips training' as final hurdle blocking agreement
Liverpool are moving ahead in their bid to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich before Friday's deadline.
Liverpool have reportedly been given a further boost in their attempts to sign Ryan Gravenberch with the midfielder 'skipping training' on Thursday. The Reds are said to have a bid ready and waiting for Gravenberch, but are waiting on the German side to find an adequate replacement before deadline day. Liverpool are going through a huge transformation in midfield this summer with James Milner, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho all leaving.
Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo have been signed to replace the outgoing midfielders so far. But the Reds are keen on bringing in one more option to ensure they're not left short for this season.
Liverpool were left embarrassed in their attempts to sign Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo, but have since switched their attention to Gravenberch. The Dutchman has grown frustrated at a lack of minutes under Thomas Tuchel with being left on the bench in two of Bayern's first three games of the season so far.
Gravenberch is said to be keen on a move to Liverpool, but Bayern are still unsure whether to let him leave. But Liverpool are making their push to sign the 21-year-old with Fabrizio Romano claiming an 'official bid' is ready to be made.
The hold-up in talks progressing is reportedly down to Bayern conducting their own search for a possible replacement. Fulham's Palhinha has emerged as the club's top target, but the Bundesliga side are some way from meeting the London club's valuation.
Bayern will reportedly only give the 'green light' once they've managed to agree terms on a replacement for Gravenberch. But a deal could be progressing quickly with Sky Germany reporting that Gravenberch was not a part of the team training on Thursday.
Liverpool may not have to worry about their deal for Gravenberch being hijacked either as the player is set to want the move to Anfield.

Reports in Germany have stated that Tuchel is happy to let Gravenberch leave the club as he's not part of his plans. Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala and summer signing Konrad Laimer all appear to be ahead of Gravenberch in the midfield pecking order at the Allianz Arena.
Gravenberch was asked about his future after making an eight-minute cameo off the bench last weekend.
“I don’t know what will happen in the next days,” Gravenberch said. The Holland international only joined Bayern 12 months ago in a deal worth £20million.
