Former Manchester United target Thomas Muller is reportedly ‘wanted’ by both Everton and Newcastle United. Muller has continued to be a key player at Bayern Munich following the arrival of Julian Nagelsmann in the summer.
The World Cup winner has started all but one game for the German giants, mainly from a position just behind the striker.
He has been phenomenal in terms of attacking output this term, scoring nine goals and notching 20 assists in all competitions.
That helped Bayern to ease into the last 16 of the Champions League and open up a six-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga.
While Nagelsmann will undoubtedly be keen to bring in his own players, Muller appears to be a key part of his plans.
The attacker’s contract at the Allianz Arena does not expire until the summer of 2023 and there have already been signs that Bayern will extend his deal.

But that has not stopped some clubs making their interest in the German known 18 months before his contract expires.
According to Sport Bild, both Everton and Newcastle are understood to ‘want’ to sign Muller.
Both sides are struggling in the bottom half of the Premier League, with Everton currently without a manager and Newcastle at serious risk of relegation.
Despite the threat of the drop, the Magpies would be able to satisfy Muller’s wage demands, however big they are.

Whether Muller would want to swap being a perennial trophy winner at Bayern with struggling teams such as Newcastle or Everton is unknown, though it is unlikely.
Everton will surely need to appoint a new boss before attempting to sign Muller, while Newcastle will need to show some hope they can pull away from the drop zone.
Muller has attracted interest from United in the past and Muller has proven capable of performing at the top level.
Nagelsmann will certainly want to keep him seeing as how important the German has been to his side.
