Richard Madeley: How does a team like Man UTD 'lose the plot'
Antonio Conte is already preparing a blueprint for improving Manchester United instantly in case the club sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to reports. Conte is looking to win over the United board ahead of the potential opportunity, with Solskjaer given three games to save his job.
The Norwegian boss' fate will reportedly be sealed during next month's international break unless he can produce positive results in the upcoming three games.
But with those being trips to Tottenham Hotspur and Atalanta and a daunting home test against Manchester City, things look bleak.
Conte is currently out of work after mutually parting ways with Inter Milan in the summer due to disagreements with the owners.
But less than six months after guiding the Nerazzurri to their first Scudetto in 11 years, he's ready to embark on his next challenge.

The Italian coach has a blueprint in mind to get the team playing well quickly so they can still challenge for major honours this season.
His plan will likely focus on improving United defensively while adapting the side's style of play and suggesting signings that would help him succeed.
However, those close to him are sceptical about whether the chance to apply for the position formally will come.

This weekend's trip to north London could be the Solskjaer's last outing in charge at United.
A negative result against Nuno Espirito Santo's unconvincing outfit would probably force the powers-that-be to take action.
But it wouldn't be a surprise to see Solskjaer given the next three games as a block before a decision is made during the international break.
Regardless, Conte is undoubtedly waiting in the wings and sounds prepared to rescue the Red Devils.
