Man Utd: Solskjaer praises 'excellent' Brandon Williams in 2019
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has called off the club's search for a new left-back after the performances of Brandon Williams this season, in a move that the Red Devils hope will save them £50million.
Williams has been a key find for United this season after Solskjaer gave the 19-year-old a run in the first-team.
The teenager has made 26 first-team appearances for United in his breakout season for the club.
According to The Sun, United had considered sending out Williams on loan, as they looked for another left-back to challenge Luke Shaw, but this has now changed.
The report claims Williams has held talks with Solskjaer in the past few weeks over his future and plans for next season.

“Ole loves Brandon's attitude and he will be here next season.
"The bosses think he will save them £50m.”
Injuries have limited Shaw's minutes this season and the England left-back has only managed 26 appearances for United.
However, Williams' performances at times even kept the 24-year-old out of Solskjaer's starting line up even when the ex-Southampton full-back was fit and available.
Williams was rewarded with a new contract before Christmas and his new deal will keep him at the club until 2022, with United holding an option of a further 12-months extension.
