Manchester United want Donny van de Beek
Manchester united are keen on a deal for Ajax ace Donny van de Beek, according to ESPN.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also a fan of his team-mate Hakim Ziyech but sees Van de Beek as a bigger priority.
United are desperate for signings this month after a poor first half of the season which was epitomised by the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.
Solskjaer is coming under increasing pressure and is looking for players who can make an impact straight away but also ones who could develop into world beaters.
The Norwegian signed youngsters Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James in the summer and also landed Harry Maguire and all three have made impacts but the team are still struggling.
Solskjaer wanted Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho this month, but Haaland has joined Dortmund and Sancho is set to stay there until at least the summer.
Villa in Benteke talks
Aston Villa are in talks to resign Christian Benteke from Crystal Palace, according to the Telegraph.
But Palace have told them they will not loan the striker out so the move would need to be permanent.
Benteke has toiled in London over the last few years but such is Villa’s need for a striker they appear willing to take a gamble.
The Belgium ace has scored no goals in 15 games this season.
Villa were in for Olivier Giroud but after taking Danny Drinkwater they can no longer sign another player from Chelsea on loan.
Juve make Pogba move
Juventus have made their move for Paul Pogba but know a deal for January will be tough to broker.
Manchester United midfielder Pogba is keen to quit the club and move to either Juventus, Inter Milan or Real Madrid.
Pogba had an operation yesterday and will be out of action for the next few weeks.
But he has had little impact at United this season anyway due to other injuries that have plagued him this term.
And he was keen to quit the club last summer and wants to leave again now.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Juve remain interested but know a deal will be difficult this month.
Ancelotti ready to axe Sigurdsson
Carlo Ancelotti is ready to flog Gylfi Sigurdsson after taking control at Everton.
The new boss has not been impressed with the £50m signing from Swansea and, according to the Sun, is ready to get rid of him.
Sigurdsson has struggled this term and ever since he joined Everton for such a big fee.
And his time at the club could be coming to an end with Ancelotti said to be losing patience.
Everton have been linked with James Rodriguez in a loan swoop from Real Madrid, and he would like take Sigurdsson’s role in the team.
Chelsea eye Brighton defender
Chelsea are among a group of clubs monitoring Brighton defender Ben White, who is on loan at Leeds.
Sky Sports report that the 22-year-old is of interest to Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham after impressing under Marcelo Bielsa.
However due to his loan any deal would be complicated to get done this month and would need the buying club to agree to send him back to Leeds.
Chelsea are keen to add to their defence this window and are looking at re-signing Nathan Ake from Bournemouth for £40m after inserting a buyback clause into the deal to sell him.
However that clause expires after this window so they would need to trigger it soon.
Leicester eye Edouard
Leicester are reportedly ready to make a £30m move for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard.
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers worked with the striker in Scotland and remains a big fan.
And, according to the Daily Record, wants to snap him up but is willing to until the summer with Celtic in real battle for the Scottish title.
There are other clubs in for Edouard including Crystal Palace but Celtic are refusing to do business this month.
The 21-year-old joined from PSG for £9m and has represented France at under 21 level.
He is the top scorer in Scotland with 13 goals and five assists but his minutes per goal ratio - of 101 - is bettered by both Alfredo Morelos - 84 minutes per goal with 12 - and Jermain Defoe - 67 minutes per goal with 11.
Tottenham eye Zaha deal
Tottenham are keen on a deal for Wilfried Zaha this month and hope his new agent will help facilitate a transfer.
Zaha has teamed up with Pini Zahavi to broker a move away from Crystal Palace.
Zahavi has already held talks with Bayern Munich over a potential deal while the Mirror report that Tottenham are keen to seal a deal.
Chelsea are also interested in signing Zaha but don’t want to pay the £80m valuation.
Zaha was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer but they were unable to agree terms.
Lingard on the move
Jesse Lingard is looking at his options because he’s aware Manchester United are likely to sign a new number 10 who will reduce his game time, according to Sky Sports.
United have been looking at James Maddison, Jack Grealish and Christian Eriksen and have been linked with several moves this month.
And Lingard, who has recently teamed up with Mino Raiola, is looking at his next move.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth delivers some insight.
He said: “It would make sense that he may want to see what his options are away from Manchester United.
“Is Lingard looking at Raiola perhaps as an insurance policy in case United sign someone, we’ve been talking about them, like a James Maddison or a Jack Grealish?
“Lingard’s got 18 months left on his contract, United have that option in place where they can extend for a further year.
“I just wonder if he’s keeping all his options open Jesse Lingard and Mino Raiola might give him the best opportunity if he’s not in Manchester United’s plans to get a move elsewhere.”
Arsenal summer move
Arsenal are looking to seal a move for defender Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig, but according to Goal he is more likely to make complete any transfer in the summer rather than this month.
Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his backline after replacing Unai Emery and Upamecano has been identified as an option.
The 21-year-old is reportedly valued at around £45m and is under contract until 2021. Arsenal will also have William Saliba available from the summer after his loan spell with Saint-Etienne expires.
But Arteta would like more options now after Calum Chambers was ruled out for the season and with his current crop struggling to convince.
