Manchester City have been urged to make a move for Ben Chilwell in the January transfer window in order to solve their problems at the back. The Citizens are expected to dip into the transfer market to continue their push for the Premier League title.
City are currently 11 points behind Premier League table-toppers Liverpool.
The Citizens have been hit with something of an injury crisis this season - specifically at the back.
Pep Guardiola’s options have been limited at the back after he opted against replacing outgoing club captain Vincent Kompany.
Things were made worse when City’s key centre-back Aymeric Laporte was struck down with an injury earlier this season.

The Frenchman will be out of action until later this month, having played only four times in the league this campaign.
Further injury to John Stones has left City even worse off at the back, with fans predicting a new defender incoming this month.
One name heavily linked with a move to The Etihad has been Chilwell - who is also wanted by Chelsea.
The Leicester City left-back is viewed as the ideal signing for Guardiola, as it would help to improve his options at the back.

And former Arsenal defender Stewart Robson urged Guardiola to get his chequebook out and bring in Chilwell in the upcoming window, because he has “changed his game” since emerging as a regular starter at Leicester.
The 23-year-old has featured 18 times for Brendan Rodgers’ title-chasing side, having burst onto the England team in the last 18 months.
“When Chilwell first got into the Under 21 side and into the Leicester side, I wasn’t impressed,” Robson said on ESPN FC.
“I thought he was quite weak defensively, he got knocked off the ball too easily and didn’t do enough in the front areas.
“But he’s changed his game in the last year and a half.
“He’s now an outstanding left-back.
“When you talk about City and all their problems at left-back - Zinchenko is playing there, you’ve got Mendy in and out of the side due to injuries, you’ve even got Fabian Delph playing there.
“I would say [that will happen].”
