Marcus Rashford has joked he still has work to do to reach Cristiano Ronaldo’s level of aerial prowess after scoring with a header in Man Utd’s 4-1 win over Newcastle. United found themselves a goal down after a Matty Longstaff strike in the 17th minute at Old Trafford.
But three goals in 17 minutes from Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Rashford put United in control.
Martial would get his second of the night in the 51st minute to complete the win and United are now four points behind fourth place Chelsea.
Rashford’s goal saw him tower above his man at the far post, drawing some comparisons to Ronaldo’s stunning header against Sampdoria earlier this month, when he reached a height of 2.56 meters when connected with the ball.
And after the match, Rashford tweeted: “Not quite @Cristiano jumping levels yet but working on it.”

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer compared Rashford and Ronaldo’s physical development.
"Marcus' today was a fantastic goal," Solskjaer said.
"He's been working on it. He's a physical specimen, he looks after himself, he's working hard in the gym and when you've got that spring it's about courage and getting up there.
"I remember a boy I used to play with who used to head it quite well when he was close to the goal, and we compare him quite often.
