Virgin Media offer Premier League fans 'hassle free' option for Amazon Prime fixtures
Virgin Media have given Premier League fans an easy way to watch all of the Amazon Prime fixtures in December.
Premier League: Amazon Prime reveal full December schedule
Virgin Media customers will be able to watch all 20 Premier League matches on Amazon Prime Video in December using their V6 set top box.
An Amazon Prime subscription will be required to watch the content, with some of the biggest games available in 4K Ultra HD.
Amazon Prime announced that they will be showing all the games from two rounds of fixtures exclusively, with those matches taking place on December 3, 4, 5 and Boxing Day.
BT is also offering to new and existing customers six months of Amazon Prime subscription for free.
Virgin Media customers with the correct subscription will be able to watch without the need for a USB stick or a new television controller, with the Amazon Prime Video app available on the Virgin TV V6 set top box.
Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry are two of the biggest names in the extensive list of pundits that will be watching and reviewing the fixtures in question.
Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool v Everton and Leicester City v Liverpool are all included, as Jurgen Klopp's Reds look to extend their lead at the top of the table.
Michael Owen, Harry Redknapp, Peter Crouch, Jermaine Jenas, Alex Scott and Peter Schmeichel have also been bought in, with Gabby Logan joined by Jim Rosenthal and Eilidh Barbour as presenters.
Manchester City’s trip to face Wolves on December 27 is the final game of the Christmas coverage, with the Boxing Day marathon the previous day including nine live fixtures.
David Bouchier, Chief Digital Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media, said: “We are saving football fans the hassle this Christmas with our winning combination of ultrafast broadband connectivity and powerful 4K V6 box providing the best match-day experience for Amazon’s Prime Video Premier League fixtures.
“With all of the Premier League matches from Sky, BT Sport and Amazon Prime Video in one place, Virgin Media is top of the league for football on TV this festive season.”
