Charlie Nicholas explains why Man Utd won’t beat Bournemouth in Premier League clash
Manchester United travel to Bournemouth in the early Premier League kick off on Saturday.
Man United: Solskjaer previews Bournemouth match
Charlie Nicholas believes Manchester United will fail to win at Bournemouth when the teams meet this weekend in Premier League action.
United are hopeful they’ve finally turned the corner and are unbeaten in four matches since losing 1-0 at Newcastle before the international break.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will have to show they’re mettle this again though this weekend when they face a potential banana skin on the south coast in the early kick off on Saturday.
Arsenal hero Nicholas would not be surprised if United slip up against the Cherries, who he has tipped to utilise their pace and power in attack.
“Bournemouth have always been strong and plausible at home and they have players like Callum Wilson and Josh King who are always a handful,” Nicholas wrote in his Sky Sports predictions column.
“There is a lovely question mark at the front and the back with Manchester United.
“They have a bit more potency with Anthony Martial leading the line.”
The return of the Frenchman seems to have kicked Manchester United into life, giving them a fresh dimension in attack with Marcus Rashford also in a rich vein of form.
Martial marked his return to the starting line up with the winner against Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League, before scoring again in the 3-1 win at Norwich last Sunday.
Yet Nicholas believes Bournemouth are a cut above Norwich and will not role over, they have been known to frustrate the big six particularly on home soil.
“It was a fabulous result for United at Norwich,” Nicholas added.
“Bournemouth can upset teams so you never know with them.
“Norwich are not Bournemouth, who are much more consistent at home.
“It is a dangerous game again and I do not see Man Utd winning this.
“The manager and the players cannot explain Man Utd.
“Bournemouth will play an attack-minded game and play some good football. Sit back and enjoy this one.”
