Fantasy Premier League tips: Who should you captain in FPL GW11?
Fantasy Premier League action resumes this weekend but who are the top picks to captain your side in FPL GW11?
Selecting a captain sometimes proves to be a bit of a headache as FPL managers look to maximise their points haul.
The numbers dried up in GW8 and GW9 but last weekend’s action saw a number of the ‘big hitters’ find form again.
Those who captained Leicester’s Jamie Vardy for GW10 were handsomely rewarded.
The Foxes ran riot at Southampton, coming away with a 9-0 victory as the former England striker grabbed himself a hat-trick.
There are a host of players FPL managers could select as captain this weekend and Express Sport has rounded up the leading candidates.
Who should you captain in FPL GW11?
Raheem Sterling, Man City - (£12.1m)
Sterling collected 11 points last week and was rested in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Southampton.
City face the same opponents again on Saturday and the England forward will be raring to go.
Kevin de Bruyne, Man City - (£10.2m)
De Bruyne was overtaken by Vardy as the leading FPL points scorer last week.
However, the Belgian playmaker was unfortunate to see a goal originally awarded to him against Aston Villa reassigned to team-mate David Silva.
Nevertheless, De Bruyne still leads the way for Premier League assists this season with nine, more than double that of any other player.
Mohamed Salah, Liverpool - (£12.4m)
Salah hit the winner from the penalty spot in Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham last week.
The Reds travel to face a Villa side that has been leaking goals this season, conceding 10 in their last five league games.
Harry Kane, Tottenham - (£10.8m)
Despite Spurs’ struggles this season Kane’s form has remained fairly consistent, with six goals and one assist to his name.
Next up for Tottenham is a trip to Everton and the England striker has registered double-points hauls in his last four appearances against the Toffees.
Jamie Vardy, Leicester - (£9.3m)
As mentioned, Vardy grabbed the headlines with his treble last week and Leicester will be looking to maintain their fine run of form at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The 32-year-old also tops the Premier League scoring charts, making him a great candidate for the armband.
