Gordon aims at quick comeback
SCOTLAND keeper Craig Gordon is in line to make a shock return ahead of schedule in Sunderland’s friendly at Celtic Park on Saturday.
The £9million man had looked certain to miss the World Cup qualifier in Norway on August 12 because of a knee injury.
But even though he is set to play for the first time since April, boss Steve Bruce insists Gordon, 26, is still a big doubt for the league opener at Bolton on August 15.
Bruce said: “Craig is making progress and I hope he can be involved at Celtic. But I still have concerns about him being fit enough for Bolton.” Gordon aims at quick comeback
