Arsene eyes Melo swap
ARSENAL are willing to offer Fiorentina Emmanuel Eboue and Philippe Senderos as part of their bid to sign Felipe Melo.
But they are refusing to meet Melo’s £21.5million release clause and face competition from Juventus. Atletico Madrid are interested in Eboue, while both Bordeaux and Paris St Germain are considering £6m moves for Senderos.
Arsene Wenger is set to offer Eboue, Senderos and £5m in a £15m deal. But Fiorentina are unwilling to drop their price and covet Eboue more than Senderos. Udinese’s Gokhan Inler is Arsenal’s alternative and they also want Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh if they can offload Emmanuel Adebayor.
Robin van Persie, meanwhile, is set for a new £70,000-a-week deal.
