Man Utd fans will love what Crystal Palace boss said about Zaha and Wan-Bissaka transfers
MANCHESTER UNITED fans will love what Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has said about Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Man Utd: Wan-Bissaka could fill ‘gaping hole’ says Murphy
Manchester United have been linked with Crystal Palace duo Zaha and Wan-Bissaka ahead of the summer transfer window.
Wan-Bissaka is supposedly Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s No 1 target for the right-back area, with the club primed to lose Antonio Valencia.
Manchester United’s defeat to Wolves in the Premier League on Tuesday night also suggests they need an upgrade on Ashley Young, who was dismissed in the Molineux showdown.
Zaha, meanwhile, has been backed to seal a stunning return to Old Trafford.
The Ivory Coast international signed for United as Sir Alex Ferguson’s last-ever transfer in 2013.
Ultimately, however, he failed to make the grade with David Moyes appearing reluctant to trust him.
And, now, Crystal Palace boss Hodgson has admitted they will listen to offers for the duo this summer.
“We would be more than happy to keep them But we just have to remain realistic and see what happens,” he said.
“If offers come in they will obviously be assessed, like everything else.
“As I heard Manuel Pellegrini quite rightly say the other day [when discussing Declan Rice’s future]: every footballer player does have a price.”
Meanwhile, back in February, Solskjaer opened up on why Zaha failed at United.
The current Red Devils boss managed the Palace forward during a brief spell in Wales with Cardiff City.
And Solskjaer said: "I worked with him for half a season there [Cardiff].
"He was a great lad, he worked hard to improve and it was maybe too early for him when he came to United.
"It is great to see him playing well now."
Wan-Bissaka has been tipped to leave for a fee in the region of £40million.
Zaha, though, could go for double that figure given his importance to Hodgson’s side.
