Busby set the record in the 1946-47 season though Solskjaer will be hoping he doesn’t follow the legendary boss.
After the stunning start for Busby, he won just one out of his next eight.
Solskjaer’s wins have come against Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth and Newcastle before the victory over the Royals.
But United’s fixtures get arguably tougher now with their next game coming at Tottenham on January 13.

Solskjaer had rung the changes for the FA Cup clash with Championship Reading but was pleased to progress.
“We are delighted we are through,” Solskjaer said.
“I made it tough for us, when you make nine changes it is never easy, but I am delighted we are into the next round.
“We learned a lot, but we know we need some fitness work, we need to work on relations.
“I put a team together which had never played together and we are through.”
