Premier League table: Every team compared to last year – Liverpool flying, Man Utd worse?
PREMIER LEAGUE table standings look very different to last season – which teams have risen and fallen the most?
Premier League teams will take time over the last international break of the calendar year to assess their progress in 2018/19.
Liverpool and Everton have enjoyed terrific improvements since this stage last season, with far more points after 12 games.
There has also been a surprise package setting the league alight so far, though Manchester United's forecast looks gloomy after a rollercoaster start to the campaign.
Take a look below to reveal how every Premier League team's points have changed compared to Gameweek 12 in 2017/18.
Promoted Teams:
Wolves were unlucky not to beat Arsenal in a hard-fought clash at the Emirates.
They have fared well this season, though fellow new boys Cardiff and Fulham are in real danger in the relegation zone.
17. Burnley: -13pts
Sean Dacha’s men have been solid in recent weeks, but they’re a long way off their impressive pace set last season.
16. Huddersfield: -8pts
David Wagner will need to produce a miracle if Huddersfield are to scramble away from the drop-zone.
15. Manchester United: -6pts
United have endured a turbulent start to the season, but they’re not too far away from last season’s total after 12 games.
14. Southampton: -5pts
Mark Hughes will be fearing for his job after a worse start to the season than his predecessor, Mauricio Pellegrino.
13. Newcastle: -5pts
The Magpies are starting to build some form and should catch their total from last season if they keep it up.
12. Brighton: -2pts
Chris Hughton has worked wonders at the Amex, and the minor points difference won’t be troubling him.
11. Arsenal: +2pts
Unai Emery has steadied the ship at Arsenal and already managed to make progress.
10. Watford: +2pts
Javi Gracia’s side have been inconsistent after a terrific start.
9. Manchester City: +2pts
It’s hard to improve when you’re nearly perfect to begin with. Somehow City have done exactly that.
8. West Ham: +3pts
The Hammers are making gradual progress after a big summer spend and a huge injury list.
7. Crystal Palace: +3pts
Roy Hodgson is keeping Palace competitive despite failing to make significant investments.

The Blues have Eden Hazard to thank for their blistering start to the campaign.

The Marco Silva-Richarlison combination is working once again. The Toffees are on the up.

Eddie Howe is the closest thing to a bulletproof manager in the top flight. He has the Cherries sitting in the top six.
1. Liverpool: +8pts
The Reds are keeping pace with City after looking much more solid in 2018/19, even if the front three haven’t hit the same heights.
