Monkey stops play during England's tour of India
ENGLAND’S cricketers were literally gibbon the runaround yesterday on their tour of India.
As Haryana reached 172-4 in reply to England’s 521-0 on the penultimate day of their final warm-up match in Ahmedebad, a group of black-footed grey langur monkeys made themselves at home during the evening session.
They took the eye of several wary travellers, but are apparently a common sight in Tim Bresnan’s native surrounds of deepest West Yorkshire. Asked if he was put off, he said: “No, we get them down at my local cricket club all the time!”
