Michael Lumb's luck hits a new low
MICHAEL LUMB’S luck hit a new low yesterday when it was revealed he had broken a bone in his foot and will be out for the rest of the season.
Lumb, Hampshire’s hard-hitting opener, will now miss tomorrow’s Twenty20 Finals day on his home ground, the Rose Bowl, and England’s 20-over internationals against Pakistan next month.
Lumb was hit by a shot from England opening partner Craig Kieswetter during the Championship match against Somerset on Wednesday. Since the Twenty20 World Cup win in May, he has suffered with form and fitness.
