Danish steal another World Cup victory
HANS Andersen led Denmark to another World Cup win on Saturday – and believes his country can dominate for years to come.
Denmark’s chances of victory in front of their own fans in Vojens were boosted when two-time world champion Jason Crump pulled out of Australia’s team after crashing in his first ride.
He needs a scan to discover if he has broken his left wrist. Australia finished fourth.
The Danes went on to take the title with Wolverhampton’s Niels-Kristian Iversen sealing victory in the penultimate race.
Captain Andersen, who rides for Peterbrough, said: “We can become the dominant team of our time. It’s fantastic to win on home soil.”
